A Hierarchical Face Behavior Model for a 3D Face Tracking Without Markers

چکیده
In the context of post-production for the movie industry, localization of a 3D face in an image sequence is a topic, with a growing interest. It’s not only a face detection (already done!), but an accurate 3D face localization, an accurate face expression recognition, coupled with the localization, allowing to track a real “living” faces (with speech and emotion). To obtain a faithful tracking, the 3D face model has to be very accurate, and the deformation of the face (the behavior model) has to be realistic. In this paper, we present a new easy-to-use face behavior model, and a tracking system based upon image analysis/synthesis collaboration. This tracking algorithm is computing, for each image of a sequence, the 6 parameters of the 3D face model position and rotation, and the 14 behavior parameters (the amount of each behavior in the behavior space). The result is a moving face, in 3D, with speech and emotions which is not discriminable from the image sequence from which it was extracted.

Densely tracking sequences of 3D face scans
3D face dense tracking aims to find dense inter-frame correspondences in a sequence of 3D face scans and constitutes a powerful tool for many face analysis tasks, e.g., 3D dynamic facial expression analysis. The majority of the existing methods just fit a 3D face surface or model to a 3D target surface without considering temporal information between frames. In this paper, we propose a novel me...
متن کامل3D Face Recognition using Patch Geodesic Derivative Pattern
In this paper, a novel Patch Geodesic Derivative Pattern (PGDP) describing the texture map of a face through its shape data is proposed. Geodesic adjusted textures are encoded into derivative patterns for similarity measurement between two 3D images with different pose and expression variations. An extensive experimental investigation is conducted using the publicly available Bosphorus and BU-3...
متن کاملRobust Face Tracking Control of a Mobile Robot Using Self-tuning Kalman Filter and Echo State Network
This paper presents a novel design of face tracking algorithm and visual state estimation for a mobile robot face tracking interaction control system. The advantage of this design is that it can track a user’s face under several external uncertainties and estimate the system state without the knowledge about target’s 3D motion-model information. This feature is helpful for the development of a ...
متن کاملReal-time tracking and imitation of facial expression
We present a system for tracking facial expression and head pose with one camera and no special markers, and generating a face animation to imitate these expressions simultaneously. The tracking is based on Gabor wavelet coefficients (jets) of the facial feature points, a saccadic searching strategy, and a model-based adjustment. Using Principal Components Analysis (PCA), we established an expr...
متن کاملFace Tracking
In many face recognition systems, the input is a video sequence consisting of one or more faces. It is necessary to track each face over this video sequence so as to extract the information that will be processed by the recognition system. Tracking is also necessary for 3D model-based recognition systems where the 3D model is estimated from the input video. Face tracking can be divided along di...
